The Lake Wales Housing Authority (LWHA) is located in Central Florida 45 miles SW of Orlando and 60 miles East of Tampa. LWHA was created in 1969 to provide housing to low-income families. The LWHA has one development, Grove Manor, which was constructed in 1971. Currently, LWHA owns and manages 140 public housing units and administers 72 Section 8 vouchers. A five member Board of Commissioners appointed by the Mayor of Lake Wales governs the LWHA.
